I get this question on a weekly basis and my answer is the same every time. “We have no competition.”
Push your teams to understand that the biggest challenges they face are from within. Learn from defeat but don’t obsess about what your competitor may have done better. My days don’t start or end by reading a press release or a quarterly earnings report from the corporate giants in my space. To me they are irrelevant. They don’t matter.
Place your focus on beating yourself everyday. Your best yesterday isn’t good enough today. Be better.
